Welcome to the Vermont Covered Bridge Society 100 Covered Bridge Club!
This club has been setup to offer a challenge to anyone that would like to visit all of Vermont's historic covered bridges. At the present time there are 101 of these bridges in the state. In reality vermont has 98 covered bridges in their borders. Three bridges that border Vermont are actually onwned by the state of New Hampshire: so we settle on the round number for the name.
Many people have completed this task over the years. Some have been documented by pioneers such as Richard Sanders Allen. However, the quest is still alive and well these days. Social Media provides an excellent vehicle for sharing in real time.
The interactive map provided here shows the location of each historic bridge in the state. When any pushpin is selected, the bridge information and directions will come up.
There is also a 100 Covered Bridge Checklist that can be used to keep track of your progress.
Please join the 100 Covered Bridge Club Facebook group and start posting pictures of your visits. Be sure to include the Bridge name and date.
Our thanks to the 251 Club for their model of visiting every town in Vermont. They have been existence since 1954. Please visit their website at 251 Club for more information
