The South Perkasie Covered Bridge Sign Has Been Found!

January 30, 2021: Anita Larkin Ford has passed along this information about the South Perkasie Covered Bridge sign. Bob Keeler of The Perkasie News-Herald is reporting that after being lost for six months, the "Historic Covered Bridge" sign has been found.

The sign was washed away in August 2020 during Tropical Storm Isaias. It was found this past December about six miles downstream. The sign is now back in its rightful place.

According to the Covered Spans of Yesteryear website, the South Perkasie Covered Bridge was built in 1832 with a Town Lattice truss. The bridge was moved in 1958 to Lenape Park.
