November 26, 2021 - James Crouse has made us aware of an article written about the covered bridges of Georgia. Jim Kelly, with the Georgia Magazine, has written a story titled Covered bridges offer pathways to the past.

The November 2021 issue includes a short writeup about each of Georgia's sixteen covered bridges. Eight of the descriptions are accompanied with a picture.

According to the Covered Spans of Yesteryear website, there were once more than 200 covered bridges in the state. Today only these sixteen bridges remain.

Here is the link to the full story with pictures from the Georgia Magazine website: Covered bridges offer pathways to the past.

Our thanks to James Crouse, Jane Crouse, and Jane's aunt for sharing this information with us.
