Southern Vermont College Sold

Fate of Covered Bridge Museum Unsure

 

 

December 25, 2020: Anita Larkin Ford has made us aware that Southern Vermont College has been sold. Jim Therrien of the Bennington Banner is reporting that the sale of the college has been approved by the court.

The fate of the Bennington Center for the Arts, which includes the Covered Bridge Museum, is still pending. Bruce Laumeister and Elizabeth Small have filed suit to have their 2017 gift to the college annulled. So at this point it is unclear if these assetts are included in the sale.
