Elizabethton Covered Bridge awarded nearly $800,000 from TDOT for repairs

 

Elizabethton, TN, May 5, 2020 - Anita Larkin Ford has passed along this information from The Johnson City Press website. The story is reporting the Tennesse Department of Transportation has awarded almost $800,000 to Elizabethton to repair the historic Elizabethton Covered Bridge (WGN 42-10-01).

The Elizabethton Covered Bridge is 134 foot long and crosses the Doe River in Elizabethton. It was built in 1882 with a Howe truss.
