January 30, 2020: Anita Larkin Ford has passed along this information from The Reading Eagle website. Holly Herman is reporting that the Pleasantville Covered Bridge in Berks County has now reopened.

Repairs to the "headache bar" and other items amounted to around $20,000. Reflective tape was also added to increase visibility.

The World Guide to Covered Bridges lists the bridge as a single span Burr Arch. It was built in 1852 and measures 139 feet in length. The bridge crosses Manatawny Creek in Oley Township.
