April 15, 2020: Anita Larkin Ford has passed along this information from The Tribune-Democrat website. Mark Pesto is reporting that the Packsaddle Covered Bridge (WGN 38-56-02) will be closing for repairs as of today.
Repairs are expected to be completed in approximately two months.
The Packsaddle or Doc Martin bridge is 48 foot long and crosses the Brush creek in Fairhope. It was built in 1870 with a multiple kingpost truss.
