February 4, 2020: Staff Writer Carri Graham for The Times Leader of Martins Ferry, Ohio is reporting on new plans to reconstruct the collapsed Knowlton Covered Bridge.
The proposed plans specify that the rebuilt bridge will be limited to foot traffic only.
Although the cost of the reconstruction is currently not available, the Monroe County Board of Commissioners had obtained around $900,000 of funding before the collapse. At that time the money was to be used to renovate the bridge.
