August 23, 2020 - James Crouse has made us aware of some artwork done Mitchell Saler of Middletown, New York. Mitchell took part in the 2020 Adirondack Plein Air Festival and painted the Jay Covered Bridge. For those interested in purchasing prints, see Mitchell's email below for details.

Hi Jim Crouse,

My name is Mitchell Saler, Phil Saler's son. My father e-mailed you about how I painted Jay Covered Bridge. I attached photos of my oil paintings that I thought you would like to see. One is a painting of the Jay Covered Bridge, oil on board, 11 x 14", and the other is a painting of the view from the bridge looking out at Jay Falls below and is oil on board, 16 x 20".

I painted these as a selected artist in the Adirondack Plein Air Festival 2020. Thirty-five artists painted outdoors in the Adirondacks between July 30 – August 19 and there is an online only exhibit available for viewing from August 23 – September 30. You can view the exhibit and purchase paintings at https://saranac-lake-artworks.square.site/shop/adirondack-plein-air-festival-show-sale-/4.

The event is organized by Saranac Lake ArtWorks, and their website is saranaclakeartworks.org. Also, you can view and find links to buy my paintings at mitchellsaler.com. Anyone interested in purchasing prints or cards can e-mail me at mitchellsaler@mitchellsaler.com. I ask $5 for a card, $20 for an 8 x 10" print matted to 11 x 14", $40 for an 11 x 14" print matted to 16 x 20", plus shipping.

It would be great if you would share these photos and spread the word. It is a beautiful bridge and it was fun to paint.

I hope you are having a great summer!

Thank you,
Mitchell
