Grange City Covered Bridge in Danger

 

May 26, 2020 - Grace Finerman of WKYT in Lexington, Kentucky is reporting that Grange City Covered Bridge is in danger of collapsing.

The bridge was already in poor condition before flooding hit Fleming County last week. The bridge is currently off limits to pedestrians. Officials are considering options for the bridge.

The Grange City Covered Bridge (WGN 17-35-05), also known as the Hillsboro Covered Bridge, in Fleming County crosses the Fox Creek. The 80 foot bridge was built aroung 1867 with a Multiple Kingpost structure.
