July 1, 2020: Anita Larkin Ford has passed along this information from The Tribune website in Seymour, Indiana. Noah Dalton is reporting that a security system has been installed on the Medora Covered Bridge.

The installation the security cameras and lighting were prompted by a history of vandalism and arson to the bridge. The cameras monitor the bridge 24 hours a day. There are laws on the books to punish anyone found guilty of damaging the bridge. Penalty classifications range from misdemeanor to felony charges.
