As in the October Part 1 report, many aspects of the rehabilitation and restoration of the covered bridge across the South Yuba River at Bridgeport, CA are in process here:
excavate to expose south abutment 2015 stabilization deadman concrete and bond two groups of rebar into it to be joined to similar groups cast into the south abutment pile cap,
place south abutment pile cap concrete,
strengthen bonding of east rebar group into deadman concrete at north abutment,
continue dutchman repairs and altering geometry of framed buttress posts for both south and north portals
scarf together staggered step solid-wood sections that will constitute portal ends of bottom chords,
at top of bridge trusses continue installing tie beams, chord laminates, and cross braces,
assemble rebar and construct concrete forms for corner pilasters of south abutment front wall,
hang new floor beams in position below the bottom chords and begin drilling through these beams and bottom chords and bolting them together,
install south portal moment frame,
assemble rebar and construct concrete forms for south abutment front, back, and wing walls,
begin to install final seven replacement floor beams.
