July 12, 2013 - This fall would be a great time to spend a day and visit the seven covered bridges in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. The bridges are all located within a 50 mile radius of each other. All the bridges on the tour were built between 1839 and 1858 and were inspired by German bridge design. A few of the bridges are only open for pedestrian traffic. There is no cost for the tour which is self-guided.
Contact the Lehigh Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau for more information. Also, check out this link for information on the web: Day Trip of the Covered Bridges of Lehigh Valley, PA
