June 27, 2013 Rockland County, NY - The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) held an informational meeting to discuss the rehabilitation of the Beaverkill Covered Bridge. NYSDOT is working on plans for short term and long term rehabilitation of the historic covered bridge. With the planning stage nearing completion, the construction is scheduled to begin in 2014 and is expected to take 2 years to complete. The estimated cost of the project is 1.5 million dollars.
