Spencerville IN, June 26, 2013 - The Spencerville Covered Bridge loacated in DeKalb County, Indiana reopened on June 25, 2013. The bridge was damaged by a semi-truck in September 2012. The repair costs totaled more than $140,000.
The Spencerville bridge, also known as the Coburn Covered Bridge, was originally built in 1873 spanning the St. Joseph River. The bridge is the only covered bridge in DeKalb county and has been listed as a National Historic Landmark.
