October 29, 2013 Marbleton, GA - The Concord Covered Bridge was struck by a U-Haul truck on Monday as it attempted to pass through the low clearance bridge.
As of Monday afternoon the truck was still in the bridge. There were no reported injuries as a result of the accident.
The Concord Covered Bridge, also known as the Nickajack Covered Bridge, was built in 1872 and crosses the Nickajack Creek. The bridge is 131 feet long, 16 feet wide and a low clearance of 7 feet.
