Gatineau, Quebec, September 4, 2007 - "There wasn't enough money in Gatineau's municipal budget, so neighbors banded together to do it themselves," wrote Dave Rogers, reporter for The Ottawa Citizen.
Twenty volunteers, averaging in age 60 years, built a park and a covered bridge, what they believe is the first covered bridge built in the 21st century.
