Pittsford - The plan called for the Cooley Bridge be sided with pine planking, but the town of Pittsford insisted that the bridge be sided with native hemlock.
The bridge was opened on November 25 without the siding. The Town removed the detour signs and left the posts in--they will put the signs back up when the siding is installed. The contractor has signed the change order for the hemlock siding and is now waiting for delivery.
Open for traffic, the Cooley Bridge awaits a shipment of hemlock siding.
