Covered Bridge Raising

 

July 16, 2001 - This select board meeting was held to determine if there was enough community support for contributing to the re-construction of the Covered Bridge. There was over 30 people present in support of the idea and project. After a good amount of questions and answers the Board voted to establish a committee with at least 3 board members to take over the project and move forward.

The Bridge committee with 3 board members and 5 community members was given the authority to head up this project; to include setting the time table, select the construction firm, determine what amount of contribution the citizens will be able to make, and coordinate such. Board member Daryl West was named the Chair.

We will be keeping all informed as this project continues.
