Whites Covered Bridge Being Rebuilt

Six years after the Whites Covered Bridge was lost to arson, we are getting reports that the bridge is being rebuilt. Reports expect a completion by the end of 2019.

According to the Covered Spans of Yesteryear website, the most recent Whites Covered Bridge was built in 1869 and was lost to arson on July 7, 2013. There were two earlier bridges at this site. The bridge was built using a Brown truss.
