The Ohio Historic Bridge Association will hold its Summer Picnic at 12:00 p. m. on July 18, 2021.
Many of you may not be aware of Miriam Wood’s passing in May 2021. The obituary prepared by her family is posted on the OHBA website. We will devote the summer picnic to Miriam’s memory. We will read memories mailed or emailed to us and allow time for those in attendance at the picnic to reminiscence. We will gather these to be presented to her family.
Mail memories to:
OHBA
PO Box 153
Galena, OH 43021-0153.
If you wish to email them, send to everetsherman1877@gmail.com or elmphd@aol.com.
Covid 19 guidelines in effect when we mailed our last newsletter, have mostly been rescinded by Governor DeWine. Please feel free to continue to follow guidelines that you feel are appropriate for your personal situation such as masking and social distancing. Consequently, we will continue to have each family bring their own meal as guidelines for buffet dining will be difficult to implement at the bridge location. We will have sanitizer available for use.
Location: Salt Creek/Johnson’s Mill Covered Bridge. East of Zanesville off interstate 70 on Arch Hill Road (CR82). Bring a meal for your family, silverware, plates, drinks, and a lawn chair.
Thanks to James Crouse for sharing this information with us. The obituary provided by her family is attached, with thanks to Elma Lee Moore for sharing it - Ed.
