September 3, 2020: Anita Larkin Ford has passed along this article from the 69 WFMZ-TV News webpage. Holley Harrar is reporting that the repair work on the Pine Vally bridge is completed and the bridge is now open.

This bridge was part of an effort by Bucks County to repair and restore seven of their covered bridges. Funding was raised thru an additional charge added to vehicle registrations. The project began in the fall of 2019.

You can see the see the beginnings of this project in our article from October 2019: Bucks County working to save covered bridges

The Pine Valley Covered Bridge is almost 82 feet long and crosses Pine Run between Doyleston and New Britain. It was built in 1842 using a Town lattice.

Our thanks to Anita Larkin Ford for passing this information along in The Covered Bridge Experience Facebook group.
