Work to Finish Repairs on Irishman Bridge Nearing Completion

 

March 1, 2020: The WTHI-TV 10 website is reporting that the repairs are almost complete on the Irishman Covered Bridge.

Work is expected to be completed within the next few months according to Parks Superintendent Adam Grossman.

The Irishman Covered Bridge was built in either 1845 or 1867. It was moved from its crossing over the Honey Creek to the current location in Fowler Park in 1971. The bridge was built with a modified Queen truss.
