August 15, 2020 Anita Larkin Ford has passed along this information from the wgntv website. Dana Rebik is reporting that reopened Long Grove Bridge has been damaged again.
In less than 24 hours after opening, the Long Grove bridge was damaged again. Long Grove mayor Bill Jacob says that The bridge is structurally sound with some superficial damage to the wood that will need to be replaced and repainted. A school bus carrying a group of golfers tried to pass thru the bridge unsuccessfully.

The Long Grove Bridge (WGN 13-49-A) is located in Long Grove in Lake County. The 40 foot stringer bridge was built in 1972 and crosses the Buffalo Creek.
