As in the September report, many aspects of the rehabilitation and restoration of the covered bridge across the South Yuba River at Bridgeport, CA are in process here:

  2. remove rejected old floor beams and hang new replacement beams in place,
  3. create bolster beams by sistering pairs of timbers,
  4. construct concrete forms and rebar grids for north abutment front, back and wing walls,
  5. receive and inspect rust-resistant steel truss tie bars,
  6. drill holes into 2015 stabilization-cable deadman concrete and bond rebar extensions from north abutment pile cap into them,
  7. place and vibrate concrete into north abutment front, back and wing walls,
  8. place and vibrate concrete blocks around rebar from north abutment pile cap to 2015 stabilization cable deadman concrete,
  9. begin construction of upper bridge-chords, and the tie and cross beams from east to west chords,
  10. restore truss terminus buttress posts by installing dutchman patch blocks into removed decayed sections.
