Graffiti vandals target historic bridge in Blount County

January 28, 2020: Anita Larkin Ford has passed along this information from ABC33/40 website. Muriel Bailey is reporting that the Swann Covered Bridge in Cleveland has been vandalized with graffiti.

Officials will be using footage from video cameras to indentify who is responsible for this action.

The World Guide to Covered Bridges lists the bridge as a three span Town Lattice. It was built in 1933 and measures 305 feet in length. The bridge crosses Locust Fork in Cleveland Township.
